THE MOST WELL SPENT OCTOBER AT ENTIGRITY

Whether that means indulging in festive candy while marathoning horror movies or taking a weekend away to enjoy the wonders of nature, October is all about enjoying the beauty of the last waning days before the onslaught of holiday planning. Particularly in India, October is the time when the winters start setting feet and a chain of festivities begin. When it comes to celebrations, folks at Entigrity sure know to participate and enjoy.

As the month began, the team at Ahmedabad started operations from a newly opened office in Sakar building located right by the western bank of the famous Sabarmati river. Bigger and better space with more state of the art facilities was what everyone was anticipating. Hopefully this will fill the team with more enthusiasm. Especially when the October 15th deadline was about to approach, we think it was a good move. Weeks of efforts by the administrative team to develop a fabulous workspace has paid off.

Everybody is familiar with the love of Gujaratis for Navratri, the nine day auspicious celebrations that mostly happens in October. With that comes the urge to play the local folk dance called Garba. Navratri was already in progress as October began, so the team decided to dance on the beats and rhythm of ‘Dhols’ and spend an evening in joy. On Saturday the 5th, one whole farm was swarmed with team Entigrity, wearing colorful attire and dancing tirelessly well past midnight. Here’s a video with little glimpses to that. Best part was that the families of all the employees were invited too, making it a big family evening together. Bonding with each other not just at work, but also outside is a very special quality of us guys at Entigrity. We have done that in the past and will keep doing that in the years to come, and that too, frequently.

October was not even half over yet and we again decided to watch a movie together followed by lunch. It won’t be an exaggeration if we say we had all the seats in the theatre booked for ourselves. It was fun and to top it off the movie in itself was a laughter riot. Any guesses for the name? Well, Dreamgirl. 

And with that we entered into the week of October 15 deadline. Sounds dreadful at times but work is work. The dedication and tireless efforts of our guys is worth the praises, as many of them had to spend extra hours at office to see that no task is left to be done tomorrow. We did it successfully in the end. But we needed respite. Hence we decided to spend a whole weekend away. We found just a spot some 150 kilometers away from Ahmedabad where lush green acres surrounded by hills and water were ready to welcome us. This place, although was located remotely and barely had any mobile signals but we cared least about it. At least the mobile cameras could be used to take pictures. There were a whole lot of fun activities and games to play during the day and bonfire party during the night. Saturday and Sunday well spent and worth the travel.

The next weekend was that of Diwali, that meant extra few days of closure. Yes, Diwali vacations are pretty huge in Gujarat. But before that, we had to celebrate the formal grand opening of the new office by offering prayers and seek blessings from everyone associated with us. The team and families came together for lunch at the office and also to decorate it, as is the custom. For those who don’t know, the day next to Diwali is the start of a new year in this part of the nation, so people were more than excited that they will be starting off on a happier note from a new workspace.

We reopened only on October 30th which was again a day of catching up, telling stories how did the folks spent that long weekend and vacaying.
