ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE SHOW CONCLUDES IN LA

Team Entigrity sponsored and participated at the Accounting & Finance Show and Conference that was held on July 23rd - July 24th. It is widely regarded as one of its kind conference attended by over 3000 attendees. 

The LA show  at the LA Convention Center and was the second of two shows organized by Terrapinn (the first was held some 10 days ago in New York City). The show offered over 100 hours of CPE credit for attendees and there were over 150 exhibitors, live demos and keynote speakers. At the show, we were visited by a number of professionals, industry experts and thought leaders. 

As an invited guest, Entigrity Vice President Mike Goossen, CPA had a chance to present one hour free CPE session for attendees, 'Biggest Disruption in Staffing' which intended to explain what the Big 4 & Large Accounting Firms did, how small and mid size accounting firms can build capacity through technology and leverage the benefits of remote working with offshore hiring. 

The main highlight of this year's lectures were that they were organized in silent theaters, where the attendees had to wear headphones to play the ongoing lectures. Innovation! As the day went on, we were able to get great one-on-one meeting with the exhibitors and attendees, who wanted to get their thoughts on how oworking remotely is going to be the thing of future and how is offshore staffing going to make its place in accounting industry.

Mike said, "I would say it's basically that the profession is moving so slowly that if you get ahead in the profession there is a huge talent gap that you can take advantage of as a small firm with the help of offshore hiring."

The highlight subject during the most part of the event was acknowledging the role of technology in accounting industry, about how tech is transforming the practice. A number of keynotes discussed how the cloud has fueled the growth of client accounting services and how automation and other technologies are accelerating the evolution of tax planning and audit practices.

It was definitely great to get insights and tips from industry experts on these hot topics that are surrounding the accounting industry.

The Accounting & Finance Show LA was a success. It was a great day of networking, brainstorming and building relationships with thought leaders in the industry.
