We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced US Tax Manager with a strong background in business return preparation and compliance. As the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for our organization. Your expertise in business taxation, in-depth knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations, and strong analytical abilities will be crucial in ensuring accurate and efficient tax management.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for a variety of business entities, including partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, and LLCs.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including monitoring changes in tax legislation and implementing necessary adjustments to tax strategies and reporting.
Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues and provide guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, legal, and external tax advisors, to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position, minimize tax liabilities, and identify tax-saving opportunities.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding tax implications of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
Manage and respond to tax inquiries, audits, and notices from tax authorities, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and proactively communicate relevant updates to the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree in taxation or a CPA designation is highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, with a focus on business returns.
In-depth knowledge of US tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, including proficiency in federal and state tax research.
Strong experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns for various business entities, such as partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, and LLCs.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data in relation to tax compliance and reporting.
Proven track record in developing and implementing effective tax strategies, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and mitigating tax risks.
